All signs point to a boy

In two weeks I'll be finding out whether Baby Grumish is a he or a she, but after exchanging e-mails with a friend from South Dakota I decided to try out the "string test." I had never heard of such a thing, but it goes a little something like this:

String and Ring Test: This "test" can predict whether you will have a boy or a girl. Tie your wedding band or other ring on to a piece of string. Hold this string so that the ring hangs down in front of your belly. Gently swing the string: if the ring moves in a circular pattern, you are having a boy; if it moves in a straight line, you are having a girl.

Needless to say, my ring moved in a circular pattern. Emily says her family swears by the string test - so much so that they won't believe the doctors. I think I'll wait to see what my ultrasound shows. It's hard to argue with 3D pictures. Only two more weeks!

So should I change my Countdown Clock sign to "Jamer Jackie's Arrival" now instead of just "JJ's Arrival"? Gampa

I've heard this works too -- ooooo spooky! How many girl name combos have you come up with for JJ, just in case? Linda

this is a psychological gimmick (and I have a psych degree, so I should know. Ahem.)--you subconsciously move the string every so slightly to get the result you're hoping for. You still have a 50-50 chance of being right!

What's this "anonymous" business everyone has to use?

You don't have to use the Anonymous option. Select the "Name/URL" option and it lets you put your name in. Susie figured it out...
