And then there were 10
Zach’s been having a few issues lately. He’s been a bit crabby. Not too bad, but worse than usual. He’s such a happy guy normally that it’s really easy to tell when he’s uncomfortable.
We figured it was a combination of the significant diaper rash he’s had for a while and the lack of consistent sleep. (My Grandma died last week and we’ve been running all around with the wake and funeral and whatnot). A few days ago he started messing with his ear and chewing on his fingers – we knew what that meant.
Zach started teething when he was 3 months old. Within a couple months he had eight teeth. It’s been a while since he got one and I didn’t notice one coming in, so I was unsure that he really was teething.
A couple nights I was playing with him and decided to check his mouth. Nothing on the bottom. As I flipped him upside down (his FAVORITE thing), I was surprised to see two molars poking through his upper gums.
Mystery solved.
All this time I thought we had to lay off the grapes to clear that diaper rash, but really – he was just teething.
In other news, I found this toddler chair at Goodwill a couple weeks ago. It was pretty ugly originally. Think dingy, faded country flowers. With a new slip cover it's just like new. Zach loves watching Sesame Street in it.
