Daddy loves you too

Baby is the size of a spaghetti squash (about 11 inches and almost 1 pound)

This week Jamer has been the most excited I've seen him about the baby. Every once in a while he'll rub my stomach or just lay his hand on my tummy while I'm laying down watching TV.

My two favorite stories from the week are as follows:

1. After registering for the essentials at Target, we hit the toy section. Jamer ran to the sports section and immediately registered for a soccer ball. He had quite a dilemma trying to figure out if he should register for the classic soccer ball or the ball with blue swooshes. After some time he decided to go with the classic. A few days later, we were at Target and he went to the counter and got a scanner. After telling him I didn't realize we were going to work on more registry stuff, he said he had changed his mind about the soccer ball - he now wanted the one with blue swooshes.

2. The baby was kicking pretty hard a few days ago so I called Jamer over to try to feel it. He got a little excited.

Jamer in an anxious tone: "Can you mute the TV?"
Me (laughing): "You can't feel my stomach with the TV on?"
At this point Annie (our golden retriever) is really worked up and runs over with a toy to play.
Jamer to Annie: "Shhhh!!"

By that time I was laughing so hard that there was no way for him to feel the baby kick. He'll just have to wait for another day. It is good to see him getting excited about it, though.
